People
For Abandoned Pets is a Bellevue based organization in King County,
Washington. It was founded in August 1983 by a group of concerned citizens
who love animals dearly and who care about their welfare. People For
Abandoned Pets is a non-profit corporation existing entirely on donations
made to the organization and by fundraising projects. Everyone who is
a member of People For Abandoned Pets is an unpaid volunteer.

- To help
end euthanasia (putting animals to death).
Millions of healthy dogs, cats, puppies and kittens have been euthanized
over the years because of animal overpopulation.
- To
help reduce dog and cat overpopulation by providing low cost spay/neuter
cetificates to those who cannot afford spay and neuter procedures
for their pets.
- To help
educate people about responsible pet ownership and pet care through
our quarterly newsletter.
To raise money through fundraisers to support our spay/neuter program.

Our
Spay/Neuter Program People For Abandoned Pets is celebrating its 18th
year as an organization dedicated to helping animals. Each year we help
hundreds of animals and their owners by providing them with spay/neuter
certificates redeemable at participating veterinary hospitals. In the
year 2000, at least 700 cats and dogs benefited from this program.
